It’s Here – Black
Friday 2023! In 2 days, we once again get to experience the craziest
shopping day of the year – Black Friday. That means criminals will be on the
top of their game as they work on making their holidays as profitable as
possible. Our job is to do our best to
make sure that does not happen. We will be doing our part with extra,
high-profile patrols, using our unmarked vehicles to supplement our patrol
function and of course our ALPR system.
During the holidays we always see increased traffic in the area, some of
it is people heading to the Memorial City Mall, but some are people driving in
the area wanting to enjoy the holiday lights that the villages are known for.
Unfortunately, some of the bad guys also like to visit the area looking for an
easy score or opportunity to steal something, anything.
Sometimes,
criminals who are often under the cover of looking at Christmas lights, are actually looking
for holiday parties and the parked vehicles of guests. [More]
